  • The blood of China, when the silence kills (China, 2004)

During the early 1990s, the sanitation authorities of Henan, a densely populated rural province of China located in the centre eastern part of the country, incited the poorest peasants to sell their blood so as to top up their incomes. The blood collecting was carried out with no health and safety precautions which led to a widespread contamination of hepatitis and aids.

Project done in cooperation with the journalist Pierre Haski
