Shot in different monasteries in Dharamsalla (India) with a digital night vision camera, NIGHT SHOT is a series of portraits of Tibetans refugees (monks and nuns) who fled from the Chinese occupation to live in India under the protection of H.H. The Dalai Lama. This work wishes to evoke the systematic destruction of a precious culture and its slow fading into darkness. Similar to the green nightvision imaging that was typified in the media during the first Gulf War, these photos amplify the powerful and silent meditation of the monks and nuns revealing the true fragility of their situation.
