All is scenery. Thierry Ardouin captures the light and its secret resonance, always on the lookout for the split second when it becomes the mirror of a deep emotion. For the past few years he has developed a preference for medium and large formats. He takes out his easel on the car parks of shopping centres, in those places conceived by men and for men. Inhuman landscapes. He photographs building sites, those of the Odeon Theatre and of the largest film library in Paris, where workmen strip down coats of paint and existence which the years have plastered on…
A still life which recounts the past. He portrays people suffering from Alzheimer. Chaotic sceneries and infinite distress are brought to the front stage.
