Vulnerable, (Sète, France, 2011) / Alain Willaume

Series photographed on a beach during a residency by the Tendance Floue Collective at the “ImageSingulières” Festival.

(…)It’s summer, on any beach anywhere in the world in the summer. They close their eyes. Dying. They wait, wanting to see what it’s like, in the dark.
To see yourself dead. It’s not possible. But that’s what they secretly hope the light will do: reveal and sculpt their bare skin into the image of their future immortal selves.
